The conventional standard shock absorbers on the market are designed for a weight range that is too high (e.g. 0 to 4.0 t). Optimal damping is only given with medium trailer weights (2.0 t).
In the lower weight range, there is overdamping. The effect is the trailer's jumping and bumping. In the upper weight range there is underdamping.
